The annual October Wood Duck courting event at Dawson Creek Park in Hillsboro 
is in full swing. There are over 100 very active Wood Ducks in the small pond 
at 45.543283, -122.931614. Mixed in with them was a stunning drake Mandarin 
Duck. It probably should be assumed that this is an escapee, but who knows. At 
around sunset is probably the best time to see the show.
