Thanks Bob, interesting to see Andrew Rush's take which fits in with the
puzzling vocalizations that some of us have puzzled over in the Warner
Mtns region, Ochocos etc., and Arch McCallum has worked on from the
bioacoustical angle.

After reading this, I vote for splitting this complex even further, to
insert the species:

Intermontane Flycatcher (Empidonax admixii)

in between Pacific-slope and Cordilleran (E. difficilis and E.
impossibilis).
