Beautiful day! And good birding, Powell Butte to Paulina and beyond. We enjoyed a few warblers and 2 YB CHATS along North Shore drive. Both Eagle Rock and North Shore Drive had WHITE-THROATED SWIFT for us with good views. Despite trying for Mtn Quail, only Cals showed today, at several locations. No Gnatcatchers today. Despite being in good habitat for Willow Fly for a couple hours or more,no Fitz-bews were noted. But we did have one cooperative Gray Flycatcher. Lazuli Buntings singing and showing in the bright sunlight were cool. Paulina Valley has a lot of water and the marsh is so lush that many birds perhaps went unseen by us. All views were so distant. And we finished with distant BOBOLINKS, here already, flanked by Willets, W Snipe, etc in the wet fields off Puett, out east of Paulina. ZERO SWAINSON'S Hawks today.

Abbreviation for locations, NSD for North Shore Drive at Prineville Res, ER for Eagle Rock and PV for Paulina Valley. Thanks to Evan for driving all day and tolerating some wacko birders, with his usual good humor. And Candace came closest to guessing species number today. Thanks to Diane B for ebirding as we went along and to Cathy with her helpful camera work!
