I birded Crater Lake National Park for a couple of hours on Friday and Saturday and found GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCH both days from the overlook north of "The Watchman" lookout. 42.944919, -122.170117 Other expected birds around the overlooks included CLARK'S NUTCRACKERS & GRAY JAYS, CASSIN'S FINCHES & PINE SISKINS, MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS and VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS. A GOLDEN EAGLE was hunting over the lookout on Friday. Just across the Jackson County line at Thousand Springs Sno-Park, there was a female BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER. Good birding,Russ NamitzMedford, OR
