I forgot two TURKEY VULTURES in Arago. In much lower numbers this winter
but still the 6th straight winter with birds in Coquille Valley.

Dawn at Bandon NWR Ni-les’tun Unit:
1- SE OWL
1- Sora
6+ Virginia Rail
Bethel Mtn:
1- SAY’S PHOEBE near quarry
8- Western Bluebirds
many singing meadowlarks
Coquille Valley:
Another SAY’S PHOEBE near Norway
1- COMMON YELLOWTHROAT near boat ramp in Coquille
1- PRAIRIE FALCON in north end of valley kinda near the boat ramp
Also saw Merlin and Peregrine plus many RS Hawks
Camped up near Mt Bolivar Saturday night- heard several GH Owls and one
saw-whet. Warm and windy up at Bolivar but pretty birdless. Gorgeous night
and beautiful sunrise though!
