There is an overwintering 1st fall male BULLOCK'S ORIOLE coming to a feeder
in North Bend. I found out about via Harvey Schubothe and then found out
it was a guy I use to work with but retired 10+ years ago. Anyhow, saw the
bird today- very handsome! It showed up 26 December and may be there a
while as they are feeding it peanuts.
No luck trying to refind the 1st fall, male Summer Tanager in Coos Bay.
Bob Fields had it at his suet feeder 31 December and again the next day but
not since then. I came late afternoon about an hour before sunset (which
is the only time he has seen it) but didn't have any luck. Could be
somewhere close by, but I didn't have time to wander the neighborhood.
