I was driving by the Coos Bay post office today and noticed all the BC
Night-heron trees had all been de-limbed (they haven’t finished cutting
them down). Pretty grim. I talked to the Postmistress and she said they
knew about the birds but verified they were not there?! I hadn’t checked
lately but they are normally there. Hopefully the birds found another roost
(they use to hang at Marshfield HS) and weren’t to freaked out to be
evicted rather suddenly (it was done last two days).
Will take a while to figure out where or if they are using another roost. I
suspect they are but finding them is tough.
