Hey Tim, how’s the knee recovery going?
I’m two weeks out from my scar tissue surgery and I’m dropping the crutches
today. I’m back to 115° range of motion which was as high as I could get
before the second surgery so I’m looking to improve on that from here on out.

Heard my first singing ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER while doing a loop walk around
Mingus Park, Coos Bay this morning. Plenty of VG SWALLOWS in the
neighborhoods also. In the wooded area on the north end of the park there has
been a calling SHARPIE the past couple of mornings- this has been a
traditional nesting location the past 10 yrs. or so since Joe Metzler first
noticed them.
Other singing birds this morning included:
Pacific Wrens, Hutton's Vireos, both kinglets, CB & RC Chickadees, a couple
Brown Creepers, Varied Thrush, A. Robin, House Finch, Pine Siskins, DE
Juncos, and WC Sparrows.
Nice to walk under blue skies!
Oh, Harv Schubothe reports 1+ MTN CHICKADEES coming to feeders in Bandon the
last couple of weeks or so.
Merry migration,
