I just wanted to mention that the Horned Lark is only the 2nd Coos record-
nice find!
The Mtn. Quail on the N Spit is very unusual too. Joe Metzler had one
singing on 16 March at the mouth of Tenmile Creek in Coos also. Not sure
why they are close to the beach in Coos this year, coastal records are very
rare (or were).
Merry migration all!

Had a singing COMMON YELLOWTHROAT today at Coos Bay North Spit, Coos Cty.
Had a singing MOUNTAIN QUAIL north of the north jetty, CBNS.
Had a non streaked HORNED LARK on the plover nesting area. The
appearance of the bird indicated it was of the Western Arctic group.
cheers
