Columbia Estuary Report - 4/6/2017

I've had a yard full of ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS at my house for the
last two days, now.  At least three COMMON YELLOWTHROATS were along
Trestle Bay this morning.

A TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was photographed Wednesday at the South Jetty
of the Columbia River.  Multiple SAY'S PHOEBES have been reported over
the last week or so, including most recently one seen on Thursday and
Friday at Cannon Beach.

TUFTED PUFFINS returned to Haystack Rock on 3/31 and have been reported
regularly since then.  Most known OSPREY nest locations in the area have
an Osprey on them.

In butterfly news, an early WESTERN PINE ELFIN was photographed at
Sunset Beach SRA Monday.  Also reported: ECHO AZURE, white sp. (probably
MARGINED WHITE) and MOURNING CLOAK.
