Clatsop storm report - 10/10/2015
Wind SSW sustained at 30mph; gust to 40. 60F. Intermittent heavy
showers.
Parking lot C; South Jetty nearly unbirdable with waves crashing over
the jetty. Rain and salt spray.
Notables include: Black-bellied Plover, Marbled Godwit.
Peter Iredale; blowing sand, visibility less than 500m.
Sizable feeding flock of Brown Pelicans and dark-bellied shearwaters,
viewing conditions too miserable to sort out anything more definitely.
Weather is expected to moderate tomorrow. I will spend the morning at
Seaside Cove.
