Kenn Kaufman, many years ago, stated that (for instance) a black Red-tailed
Hawk should not be called
a black-phase bird. It isn't going through a phase, it's always black. It
should be called a black morph.
With that in mind, this bird might(?) be called a calliope-phase Anna's
Hummingbird. Or not.....
