Jeff is right. The Little Blue was alive when I saw it and the Tricolored was
long dead.

The Tricolored Heron in Harney County was a bird that was collected there

it is not readily available for inspection currently…..

On the Harney County Checklist located at
http://www.ecaudubon.org/#!county-checklists/c1s34 there is a Tricolored ;
Heron listed but it lacks a Little Blue Heron. When checking the OBRC
website at http://www.orbirds.org/obrc.html, I see a Little Blue Heron seen ;
by Paul Sullivan and others (not me unfortunately) but no mention of a
Tricolored Heron. the OBRC does not mention Tricolored Heron for any county
except Benton and Lincoln. I suspect a brain burp by me on this entry but
to be careful, has anyone seen Tricolored Heron in Harney County.
