While Tom may be right in general about Townsend's being mainly in the
trees, those of us who trekked out to Cape Disappointment in December to
see the Rustic Bunting witnessed a substantial portion of the world
population foraging on the ground along with the Bunting. This one
hopped to within 2 or 3 feet of my feet.
