OK, this is not deja vu.
I got out of my car this morning and heard something unfamiliar so paused.
There, in front of me again, was a BREWER'S SPARROW. I watched the bird for
two or three minutes as it ate a moth and hopped around. I was mainly between
4 and 10 feet from the bird--it never came into really good camera focus except
when my phone was in my pocket, but I did get a few diagnostic photos.
The bird was in the median strip in the faculty part of the lot. Clark COllege
at CTC is at about 187th and Mill Plain in East Vancouver/Camas. Enter from
westbound Mill Plain into the lot. Drive straight past the parking lot stop
sign and take the first left. You'll see my black Chevy Traverse in the
faculty area (do not park in that space). The bird was within the median strip
in front of and north of my car last I saw it.
