Al Sarvis was a friend of western environmental activist Edward Abbey.
I don't know whether Sarvis is still alive. Abbey isn't.

checklist was plausible as the duration of observation was 3.5 hrs (well
after sunrise) and had birds that could be present at the HQ pond, even in
believable numbers.
However, the email address bounced immediately and I was not able to make
contact. The last part of the email was "oathkeepers.org" which did not
surprise me, and while it could be a joke, it has a small chance of
validity. Without more details and/or further communication from the
observer, the sighting will be invalidated.
