The great bomb cyclone didn’t amount to much here in the banana belt.
Snowmegeddon 2019 was much worse. We got a whole 1/3 inch of rain and 1/4 inch
of snow, and a couple bursts of wind. Our regular yard birds, such as black
phoebe, mourning dove, and juncos were undaunted by the onslaught. Related,
or unrelated to the storm, a couple of interesting yards birds showed up. A
townsend’s warbler, unusual to our yard, and a yard first of a blue jay.
