Good suggestion - maybe.

Based on the number of feeders hanging from the house in question as well
as most of their neighbors, I doubt cats are in the equation.  More
importantly - there is a suet feeder hanging directly above the one on the
ground that the warbler did not visit during my brief period of
observation.

I give the homeowner credit for putting the food in the place the bird
frequents.

The warbler flys just fine - it flew into view from across the street
without any apparent difficulty.

I spent most of the day on Sauvie Island, which means I drove past the
warbler twice before going online to find out how bad my choice was this
morning leave the house without first checking OBOL.



Below is one image of the Black-throated Blue taken during very low
light.  There are several good places for this bird to take shelter in the
area, in addition to the good food supply, so I am hopeful it will be
around for awhile and make itself available for more photo shoots under
much better conditions over the coming days.

dark.
