Farmer Rd and the south part of Livermore I saw none of the Shrikes that I
saw a few days ago
2.8 mi up Livermore Rd in Polk a small group of birders were looking at the
by now famous GYRFALCON, it was so far away I am taking their word for,
while two walked out into the Christmas tree farm west of Livermore to get
closer. I understand the local farmers are friendly and apparently
welcoming with birders
I still haven't found the Lapland Longspur(s) just north of there
There was an adult BALD EAGLE seriously looping over and over again on some
ducks on the Southside Fishing Pond in Sheridan and finally went away
empty. Seeming quite late, a GREEN HERON was on the far side of the pond
I was a little surprised the GRHE was not flagged on e-bird. Does that go
by month or is it more granular than that?
I drove in Monastery Lane where I saw 3 ACORN WOODPECKERs and a
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW. I never did see the Prairie Falcon Susan Kirkbride
had just told me about
