I heard from an OBOLer who knows the county lines a lot better than I do.
He found 10 or so Virginia Rail records for Gilliam county, most near the
Columbia River, but apparently none for Green Heron. eBird really should
put the county lines on all their species Maps given that so many birders
throughout the country are interested in county listing. It can't be that
difficult as a single map applies to all the US.

No eBird records for Green Heron or Virginia Rail in Gilliam County, if
I'm checking the eBird site correctly.
Now if I was a county lister I'd be measuring my cell phone and then doing
intensive online research for the details of these two birds' feet.
I'd strongly favor Virginia Rail, given the overhanging shrubs.
Can I county it? (hee hee, get it? It was originally a typo or perhaps a
Freudian Slip? so I left it as is).
