I refound the SAY'S PHOEBE reported earlier by Will Wright on McFarland
Road south of Finley NWR around 1:35 pm today. The bird was calling from
the row of trees just south of the 90 degree bend in the road and then flew
off along the tree line to the west.
On my way back north, I received a heads-up from Doug Robinson about 2
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS in the dirt field NE of the intersection of Hwy 99
and South Smith Loop, and I was able to quickly relocate the birds (thanks
for the timely notification!).
No sign of the Pacific Golden-Plover, but I didn't try very hard in the
rain.
