Present at 5:30pm Monday 3/7. No Killdeer in its company, about 5 feet
south of the gravel road where a ditch goes under.Lots of bare mud there. I
believe this was the same spot it was first observed. After a few minutes
it strolled north across the gravel and disappeared into dead weeds. I
tried on Friday about the same time, but armed only with binocular. I had a
scope today, but scanned first with binocular to no avail. Thanks for
forwarding Diane's post Joel. I wouldn't have chased otherwise.
What plover was with the Llewellyn Mtn Plover three years back, Golden
or Black-bellied? Lars
