2:00 PM Nels reports the Northern Mockingbird is 200 yds south of the
Bayocean spit parking lot, in the median between the entrance and exit
roads.

Further information from Nels at 1:55 PM:
A 6" post, 3 ft tall has been stood up on the left side of the entrance road
(the side away from the bay) at the Dickcissel location. Also, the tops of
the scotch broom have been clipped and bent over to mark the location.

I just got a call from Nels Nelson at 1:30. He was looking at the
Dickcissel at Bayocean spit.
He described the location as half way between the highway and the parking
lot. It was on the bay side of the road. There is a very large stump out in
the water. There is a scotch broom near the bird.
