A NORTHERN SHRIKE was visible today from the Hwy. 22 overlook at Baskett
Slough NWR, in willow bushes on the south edge of the slough ponds. There
was also about 20 DUNLINS, 20 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and 40 DOWITCHERS on the
south ponds.
I was just listening to a MARSH WREN singing in the grassy reeds east of
Cottonwood Pond.
