My first Barred Owl was either that one at Multnomah County Library, or one
that was found in the Reed College gulch. I can't remember which came
first. My neighbor told me she recently had a Barred Owl fly in and perch
briefly on her balcony railing (NW Corvallis).
I have seen one Spotted Owl. It remains a cherished memory.
