[obol] Barn Swallow fall gathering

Having just returned from a trip to the east coast, I was eager to see
again the annual gathering of the Barn Swallow multitude here in Yamhill
County. So this evening I went to Grand Island (along the Willamette River
south of Dayton) where others have reported seeing them in recent days.
At present their chosen cornfield is unusually conveniently located along
the north side of the road down onto the island. Anyone going to watch the
show from 7:15 to 8:00 p.m. should look to the left just after crossing the
bridge. There is a convenient pullout on the left (north) side about .3 of
a mile from the bridge.
