Just went out, between rain showers, for a neighborhood walk near the SE
Portland Community Center, and saw another catharus thrush. It was in a
flock of scolding birds (never found out why) - chickadees, juncos and song
sparrows - flicking its wings and emitting an alarm sound somewhat similar
to that of a song sparrow. Couldn't see the top of its tail. Got my Merlin
sound app out in time and it finally announced Hermit Thrush.
