It's time for the annual BARN SWALLOW roost in cornfields in Yamhill County,
in the bottomlands along the Willamette River.
Tonight I went to Dorsey Ln, south of Dayton to the pin at
45.194981,-123.032917
Sunset was at 7:34. I was there from 7:25 - 7:50.
The Barn Swallow gathering grew from 500, to 5,000, then to 50,000. They
went down into the corn south of Dorsey Ln about 7:45, i.e. within 15
minutes after sunset.
See photo.
