to far side of island.

I'm here at the Eagle Marsh observation gazebo. An Actitis sandpiper flew to
the island making a Junco-like twitter. Spotted Sandpipers sound a lot like
White-breasted Nuthatches in the Willamette Valley. This bird was a good
match to the one Common Sandpiper call on my Sibley app. I watched it walk
the length of the island at 60x. Not much visual clues to distinguish the
two in basic plumage. Seemed to have grey legs and beak. Some light scaling
on wing coverts are indicative of hatchyear bird.
