So far there's 66 species from about 70-75 locations. A few dozen more yards
will result in a few more species. But the frequency of occurrence isn't likely
to change the following list. Each species name followed by number of locations
reporting it.Dark-eyed Junco.              62Anna's Hummingbird
42Black-capped Chickadee 38Song Sparrow.                   34Pine Siskin.
                 29House Finch.                     29American Crow.
    29Spotted Towhee.              27Lesser Goldfinch.             25Northern
Flicker.              25California Scrubjay.         25Golden-crowned Sparrow
20Steller's Jay.                       17Chestnut-backed Chickadee 16Bushtit.
                             15American Robin.                15      Eurasian
Starling.               13Red-breasted Nuthatch.    13Downey's Woodpecker.
12House Sparrow.                  11Mourning Dove.                  10Less than
20% of today's yards had Starlings, 16 native species were reported in greater
frequency, for the most part much greater frequency. And the hated House
Sparrow even further down the list. Rock Doves were only on a single report so
far, and the oft maligned Eurasian Collared Dove trails the native MODO at 9
detections.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
