Hi all,
The time has come: we must go to AK. My wife and I will be doing a trip of
~3 weeks there and am soliciting info from the OBOL hive mind as to
recommendations.
There are many things to decide:
- when would be a favorable time to go ----we're thinking sometime
between mid-May and late June....but
- where in this huge state would be a bang for the buck for first timers
in the way of birds, other critters scenery
I have been browsing the ABA's "A Birder's Guide to Alaska" by G. West and
have found it useful. This a solicitation for other sources---personal
recommendations/tips based on past trips; books; good websites or
databases; blogs; trip reports etc.
