This morning at Floras Lake, Curry there was a calling G Yellowlegs headed
north- a migrant as they are absent in this area in winter. Also in the
willows near the beach north of lake there was a breeding-plumaged Palm
Warbler and a bright male C Yellowthroat, the Palms don’t winter in that
area so a migrant.
Back on N Spit Coos at the old Weyco pond site in PM saw another Palm and
male yellowthroat- hadn’t seen either there this winter.
Lotsa singing Savannah Sparrows now in fields here and there near coast-
migration should continue to pick up for them through April.
Fun hearing singing savannahs and rumps again!
Merry migration,
