Holly, Teak and I went for a late morning walk to Floras Lake, Curry. It
was a lot quieter bird-wise than I expected. It was a gorgeous 60F when we
left with a slight breeze out of the SE. We walked north to new River and
came back along the beach, highlights as follows:
2- LAPLAND LONGSPURS along the river with a pipit flock, we had nice scope
looks at them.
1+ MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE(S) calling in the shore pine/ sitka spruce near the
trailhead (I had seen 4 here a few weeks back, hopefully they will continue
for the Port Orford CBC on 3 Jan).
Just one PALM WARBLER at the blue silos on the way out. It was out in grass
feeding with robins and a sparrow flock including a White-throated-
interesting to see a White-throated so far out in the open away from cover.
Nice day!
