I worked out on the south end of the North Spit of Coos Bay on Wednesday
and today (Friday), here are some birding highlights:
Wednesday:
1- fly-over calling LAPLAND LONGSPUR
Today:
1- PALM WARBLER- popped in early AM and worked its way north.
2- fly-over calling GOLDEN-PLOVERS (sounded like Americans with a
monosyllabic wokit call, I am use to hearing Pacifics do a chu-WEET call,
but can't say for positive).
1- TROPICAL KINGBIRD on the powerline along the north dike of the old Weyco
pond site (there was one a 1/2 mile away 16 days ago- perhaps the same
bird????).
Merry migration!
