The 4th Applegate/Williams raptor survey was accomplished today (03-18-16)

Red-tailed Hawk - 7
American Kestrel - 1
Red-shouldered Hawk - 4
Falcon sp. - 1 (distant flyer, appeared to be Merlin, but Kestrel a possibility
too)
Sharp-shinned Hawk - 1
Turkey Vulture - 50
My 1st BARN SWALLOWS for the year turned up perched on a electrical wire in
farm country. No other new spring arrivals turned up. Lots of Turkey Vultures
around.
