The 2nd South Grants Pass raptor survey was completed today, 01-23-20.
Traveled 26.7 miles in 2.75 hours. Weather: mostly overcast, some light
rain late
Observed were:
Red-tailed Hawk - 9
American Kestrel - 3
Bald Eagle - 4 (Adults, 2 pairs)
Red shouldered Hawk - 3
Accipiter sp - 1 (suspect Sharp-shinned, not positive)
No unexpected birds turned up, Varied Thrush were detected at many
different locations along the route.
