Hello OBOLers!
It's that time of year again!
This year, the 20th annual Sisters CBC is Sunday, December 16th. We have some
walking options, and many driving options. According to the Three Creeks Meadow
SNOTEL station, there is 9" of snow in the mountains. And the weather forecast
is calling for rain/snow in Sisters throughout the next 8 days, with a 50%
chance of rain/snow on count day. This means the outer reaches of the circle
may only be accessible via snowshoes, skies, or sled dog. Though, the
temperatures are looking warmer than the past few years, so maybe we'll have a
chance of picking up some waterfowl near town!
We're in need of more participants, so if you're looking for an excuse to be
outside, and this fits with your schedule, please consider heading into the
Ponderosa Pine forests of the greater Sisters area on December 16th.
We'll meet at Sisters Coffee at 7:00, with a goal of dividing into groups and
starting the count ASAP from there.
Happy birding,
