Mark,

The City of Portland uses 2 products and we will evaluate a 3rd in late 2020 or
early 2021.

We use the Cisco product Web Security Appliance (WSA) as our primary filter and
we do decryption via that device.
We use the Cisco Umbrella DNS filter (formerly OpenDNS) as well. This provides
quicker, but not as granular filtering.

We are transitioning to Fortinet firewalls, which have the ability to perform
web filtering. Once fully deployed, we will evaluate their filtering as a
possible replacement for the WSA. We anticipate keeping the Umbrella DNS
filtering.

Hi all,

What do you use as a web proxy?  Is it on-premise or cloud-based?  Are you
happy with it?

We have used Forcepoint (formerly Websense) for a long time.  The hardware is
due for refresh but Forcepoint's technical support service has been so bad
lately that we are shopping around for a different solution.
