Hi Saby,

Being both cost-conscious and paranoid, I doubled down on tape last year. 
Though it may be unfashionable nowadays, tape still has two key advantages:  1) 
lowest cost per gigabyte, and 2) enables truly offline backups for ransomware 
protection.  If you are in the cloud, tape doesn’t make sense, but if your 
primary storage remains on-prem, tape remains a compelling option.

Columbia County is using a pair of Unitrends appliances at separate facilities 
cross-replicating, and critical backups are encrypted and copied to AWS 
government cloud.

Unitrends support is great. They are pretty responsive. It is evident when they 
are working on an issue that they actually have a clue and are not just reading 
a script. The only exception is that they want to be hands-on sometimes when it 
would be quicker and easier to just provide the command that needs to be run to 
fix my issue.

Here at Lincoln County we recently went with Rubrik.  We like it a lot.  We 
have not started pushing out to azure but we will be in the future.

look at Rubrik however they can definitely do some great stuff.
