I don't think our volume is very high but compound and transport to our
ambulatory surgery center. I can check dose tomorrow and let u know.
I wonder if my supervisor knows their is a kit. I did not. Have to look at that
too.
Thanks
Brian

Subject: [nyschp.dop] Mitomcyin for eye surgery

Hello all,

How many facilities have switched to Mitomycin eye kits for surgery rather than
compound the mitomycin syringes? We are in the process of converting based
upon safety concerns for staff during preparation, transport (to the off site
location) and administration. This is part of the ramp up for USP 800 and the
push to use commercial products when available avoiding risks associated with
compounding. At our site 2 out 3 eye surgeons support the change and see
advantages with the commercial kit. Just working with one hold out.
Any site still preparing syringes, if so what is the dose?

Thank you
Maria
