Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2015 11:02 AM To: 'nyschp.dop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [nyschp.dop] Medication Reconciliation and the use of Pharmacy Technicians Good Morning All, Currently our Pharmacy Department is engaged in Medication Reconciliation in the Emergency Department for 12 hours per day and this is well received by all. Now in an effort to maximize the skills of our pharmacists we are seriously considering adding a technician to the mix. Does anyone use such a model ? Anyone willing to share lessons learned and success stories? Currently some of our staff pharmacists and technicians are expressing concerns and anxiety of this change. Any materials you are will to share is appreciated. Warmest regards Maria ORMC Pharmacy: "We chart the course to exceptional pharmaceutical care for the safety and welfare of our patients" Maria T.
