Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of reviewing the NIOSH list of hazardous drugs. How is
everyone handling the intake, storage, dispensing, and administration of the
non-neoplastic agents?
Is preparing a risk assessment enough for those items that are not manipulated
until administration?
I have my two hazardous antineoplastic agents stored in a separate area in my
hazardous IV room. Do I need to store my non-neoplastic hazardous items
separately also from the rest of my non-hazardous inventory?
Also, do you have a separate counting and prep station for the non-neoplastic
agents?
Thanks
Sandy
