hi,
windows 10 will be a free upgrade for those pcs that are running a genuin copy of windows 7 and 8/8.1
therefor nvda should support all new technologies as soon as possible. I also believe Nvaccess should drop compatibility for all legacy technologies (windows xp etc) to improve compatibility with newer technologies.

Hello:
If most of NVDA's users are using Windows XP/Vista/Seven/8/8.1. Why are you working so hard trying to get NVDA to work on Windows Ten?
There is lots that can and should be done to continue to improve NVDA for users of Win 7/8/8.1!
Unless someone is going to buy an brand new machine? There will not be a real need for Windows Ten for a long while to come. Most blind people can't afford the next latest and greatest things! So, NVDA needs to be worked on for the machines that are in use now!
Sorry! For raining on your otherwise happy day.

Hi,
If you've downloaded master snapshots, you're effectively using 2015.2. Windows 10 specific fixes for now are in next snapshots.
Cheers,
Joseph

I always download the Master.
So is 2015.2 RC1 newer than the snapshot released this morning?

Now, just check for updates every so often and you'll get latest
snapshots. Did you download Next or Master?

Hello.
I just downloaded nvda 2015.2 rc 1.
Would that give me the latest snapshots?
If not, I have no idea how to get them.
Thank you so very much.

Hi all,

Two quick news:

1.NvDA 2015.2 release candidate 1 is here.

2.NV Access has just started working on Windows 10 fixes. For now, if
you use next snapshot for tonight, you should notice reduced
verbosity
when switching between apps. I뭢 still investigating search box issue
and ways of cooperating with Cortana.

Important note: If you will be using Windows 10, please use next
snapshots for now, report your findings to this list and we뭠l
forward
it to NV Access.

Cheers,

Joseph
