I was just wondering if it has been thought of to somehow interface to
external OCRs including this new version of the old one, rather than
embedding it?
I don't know enough about the way these things are done, but most ocrs seem
to have an engine that can be used from other software via a context menu,
producing an output which can be displayed in any form one needs.
Just a thought.
