posted by Peter Vagner, a previous mantainer of the translation system,
showing how to translate plugins when the old system of global plugins
was used in NVDA.

I appreciate that this may be a low priority request but I wonder if it
would be possible to have a command key announcement option that does
not use announcement for the arrow keys.
I personally find announcements that confirm I have hit the control,
alt, windows, page up page down home and end keys helpful.
I can touch type but the position of these keys can vary on other
devices and keyboards that I use, so confirmation that I have hit the
correct key is helpful.
However I do not use the announce command setting simply because having
the arrow keys announced is so distracting, espedcially when trying to
edit text or correct typing mistakes or navigate on web pages or File
Explorer. Unlike the other command keys you tend to be using the arrow
keys consistently in pretty much every application you use. ,
Consequently the command of arrow keys are one of the few key locations
I normally never have difficulty with so an option which does not
provide this distraction would be very good. I suspect that others will
share my experience.
If alternatively someone could develop an addon which extends this
flexibility in capability I would install it in a heartbeat.
