Calling all Students!!!!! 2013 Chapter Scholarship Program is Accepting
Applications!
The 2013 NBMBAA-Washington, D.C. Chapter Scholarship Program is underway and
will award three scholarships: one $1,000 undergraduate, one $1,500
undergraduate, and one $2,500 graduate scholarship.
Recipients are selected based upon their written response to an essay topic,
level of extra-curricular activity and community involvement, and grade point
average.
Applicants must send a completed application, essay and official transcript
(college acceptance letter when applicable) postmarked and/or sent via email to

later than Friday, June 7th 2013. If mailing, please send to the following

The Washington, D.C. Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Inc.
believes that educated professionals are key leaders that drive prosperity in
our communities. We know that by investing in a student's education today, our
association will reap benefits tomorrow. The future CEOs, business managers and
other professionals that we will need to drive the economy, create jobs and
provide professional services for our communities are in school today. That is
why the Washington, D.C. Chapter, with the support of our corporate and
educational partners, provided more than $100,000 in scholarship funds to local
high school, undergraduate and graduate students last year alone.
The National Black MBA Association, Inc.'s goal is to build a solid pipeline of
support through which young people and our members can travel from the
classroom to the boardroom. The organization provides more than $500,000
dollars annually in scholarships to undergraduates, graduates and doctoral
students pursuing careers in business. The program's mission is to identify and
increase the pool of Black talent for business, public, private and non-profit
sectors.

Katz Graduate School of Business Scholarship

The University of Pittsburgh MBA program (also known as the Katz Graduate
School of Business) has formed a partnership with the National Black MBA
Association - Washington DC Chapter for the purpose of increasing the applicant
pool of talented diverse applicants to the Katz graduate business program.
The goals are of the program are to:
(1) Increase the applicant pool of qualified diverse candidates for the Katz
graduate school of business program; and
(2) Generate applicants from a broader geography in the United States; with a
particular emphasis on geographies beyond Pennsylvania
To facilitate achievement of these goals, Katz will be offering a scholarship
award ranging from half to full tuition and fees, for the Chapter to award to
an MBA candidate who enroll at the university. The cost of the two-year MBA
program ( 4 terms) is $44,040 for Pennsylvania in-state students and $57,712
for out-of-state students.
Candidates who apply will receive the following benefits:
* Waiver of application fee ($50)
* Waiver of GMT registration fee ($250)
