POC: IE Brown Position: Senior HP Network Engineer Location: Washington, DC Salary: $100-120,000 per year Terms: Contract-to-Hire Hours: Monday-Friday, Standard Core Hours Responsibilities: We are seeking a Senior HP Network Engineer to be responsible for providing technical support on hardware systems and associated tools to including but not limited to Blade systems, EVAs and SANs, and on software and databases. This project's primary focus is the design, testing, implementation and support of HP hardware systems running Red Hat Linux for the US Courts. Hardware systems include HP ProLiant HP DL380G3, HP DL380G4, DL380G4 SAS and HP DL380G5and G6 server platforms running Red Hat Linux ES. The team also provides support on legacy systems including HP ProLiant 5000, 2500, 6000, 3000, 5500, 8500, ML350 and ML570 installed nationwide. As a Senior Network / Hardware Engineer on this program you will also be responsible for evaluating new hardware needs, gathering requirements, analyzing the requirements and then developing hardware systems solutions to meet those requirements. Engineer will work with different third party vendors and various divisions of the Administrative Office of US Courts. Regular hours will be established but this Engineer will be expected to be flexible with hours when needed. Position is for full time employment and will be based in downtown DC (Union Station). Daily responsibilities include: Serve as the lead Network Engineer handling all HP hardware needs and issues for the program; interfacing heavily with the Red Hat Engineer on the team. Work heavily with the client and the project team to evaluate hardware needs and determine solutions Provide tier 3 support in troubleshooting hardware, software and application related problems at different US Court locations working closely with vendors and teams in DC and San Antonio Lead efforts in testing and evaluating new systems. Lead efforts in the design, testing and implementation of new systems architectures. Work with various Administrative Office of US Courts divisions gathering requirements, analyzing them and then developing solutions to meet those requirements. Work closely with OEM, break-fix and integration vendors during systems implementation and troubleshooting. Assist applications group with database performance related problems. Perform research on new technologies and provide findings through verbal presentations and written reports. Attend meetings with vendors and the Administrative Office of US Courts customer providing input on various initiatives. Perform other project related tasks as assigned by Project Manager and the COTR. Necessary Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree.
