The National Society of Black Engineers Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area Professional Chapter Future Innovators Scholarship Award was established as a means of recognizing and rewarding students who have demonstrated academic excellence as well as outstanding service within their communities. This is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students planning to pursue degrees in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Scholarship awards will be presented to students who NSBE DC feels will demonstrate the greatest promise as future African-American technical professionals. Applicants must be African-American high school seniors residing in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area (limited to Montgomery, Prince George’s, Howard, Charles, Anne Arundel, and St. Mary’s counties in Maryland; Alexandria City, Arlington, Prince William, Loudoun, Fairfax, and Stafford counties in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC).
