My name is Jonathan Ransom and I am honored to chair the LaRC Selection
Committee as we seek candidates for the prestigious research position of Senior
Researcher for Structural/Thermal Systems in the Research Directorate. Many of
you are partners, peers, advocates, and friends of the amazing work of the LaRC
Research Directorate and I am reaching out to ask your assistance to help us
continue our legacy of research excellence in service to NASA and the Nation.

started:
NASA's Langley Research Center (LaRC) is seeking a world-class subject matter
expert in fundamental and applied research and technology development for
advanced structural/thermal systems. The Senior Researcher provides expertise
in the physics of multi-functional concepts and systems, including
high-temperature structures, active and passive thermal protection systems,
advanced barrier coatings, cryogenic structures and advanced structural
configurations for application to spacecraft and high-speed aircraft, and their
interaction with the environment to determine the nature, magnitude, and
interrelationships of environmental loads and their effects on these systems.
* The Senior Researcher is a Senior Technologist (ST) position, which is
the highest rank one can achieve within NASA without having management duties.
