EHRs mission is to achieve excellence in U.S. science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education at all levels and in all settings in order to support the development of a diverse and well-prepared workforce of scientists, technicians, engineers, mathematicians and educators and a well-informed citizenry that have access to the ideas and tools of science and engineering. Serves as Deputy Division Director of the Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings (DRL) and as a member of the leadership team of the Directorate for Education and Human Resources. DRL's role in the larger context of Federal support for education research and evaluation is to be a catalyst for change and enrichment-advancing theory, method, measurement, development, and application in STEM education. Represents NSF to relevant external groups and fosters partnerships with other Divisions, Directorates, Federal agencies, scientific organizations and the academic community at large.
